JESUS IS CALLING YOU
I remember when I started walking with Jesus, it was the year 1988. I was living in the city of Los Angeles California. The place where I used to work usually gave us a 30 minute break for lunch, and it was during the lunch break when a group of Christians used to get together. They used to talk about the Bible all the time, and I enjoyed listening to their conversations. They told me things like “Jesus is calling you,” or “Jesus loves you.”
These Christians used to tell everybody how Jesus changed their lives, and after a few months I got saved and starting going to church.
Mark 10:47 “And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Just like this blind person, Bartimeus cried out to Jesus. In these times we live in, there are a lot of people that are blind spiritually. They want to see the light, they want to see Jesus, and Jesus is calling them, through friends, family members and Christian workers.
Jesus is calling Christians like you and me too. Efesious 4:1 “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called.” God wants his children to keep growing in the spirit; we must be faithful and never lose our focus from his word, the Bible.
I Peter 1:6-7 “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious that gold that found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” Yes, we will have ups and downs, we will go through tribulations, but just remember, after the trials you will be stronger. Your faith will be pure like gold. Jesus help us to be pure like gold.
